What Roblox Plus costs and what it gives
Roblox Plus is Roblox's monthly plan. It costs $4.99 a month in the US, and it gives no Robux each month.
Instead it lowers the price of things you buy with Robux: game passes, developer products, subscriptions, paid access and avatar items. The discount is 10% at first, and 20% from month 3.
Plus never lowers the price of Robux packs, and items above 1,000,000 Robux get no discount. Items that are resold get none either.
How to calculate whether Plus pays off
Plus pays for itself when saving × pack price ÷ pack size ≥ $4.99
- saving
- The Robux you spend on items in a month, times the discount of that month.
- pack price ÷ pack size
- What one Robux costs you in the pack you would buy. Saved Robux are Robux you do not need to buy.
- $4.99
- The price of Plus for one month, in US dollars.

How much you need to spend
Plus is worth its price in a month you spend 2,498 Robux or more on items, once the discount is 20%. While it is 10%, you need 4,995 Robux or more.
These amounts value each saved Robux at the 1,000 Robux pack of the website, which costs $9.99. A pack that gives more Robux for each dollar makes a saved Robux worth less, so you need to spend more.
The first months cost more than they save for most players. A later month has to make up for them before Plus is ahead.
Say you spend 3,000 Robux a month. You save 300 Robux in each of the first months and 600 after that. Plus has paid for itself by month 6.
If you spend 1,000 Robux a month, the lasting saving is 200 Robux. That is worth $1.99, less than the price of Plus.
What Plus means for creators
Roblox pays for the discount itself. A player with Plus pays 90 Robux for an item of 100 Robux, and 80 once the discount goes up.
The creator of that item still gets 70 Robux, as from a player without Plus. The Robux tax calculator shows what a sale leaves the creator.
Plus and Robux packs
Roblox sells Robux in packs of fixed sizes. Plus does not change what a pack costs, on the website, in the phone app or on Xbox.
Roblox also sells Plus together with some Robux, as bundles. It has not published what those bundles cost, so this page does not show them.
Plus saves Robux when you spend them. If you mostly buy Robux and keep them, Plus saves you nothing.
Every pack and its price is on the Robux prices page. What Plus replaced, and what Premium gave, is in Roblox Plus vs Premium.
How to decide
Add up a normal month
Look at what you bought with Robux last month: passes, items, things in games. Type that number in the calculator.
Pick your pack
Under More options, choose where you buy Robux and the pack you usually buy. The saving is valued at its price.
Read the month
The answer says from which month Plus pays for itself. If it never does, a month without Plus is cheaper.
Check again later
If you cancel and join again, the discount starts at 10% again, so count the first months again.
What this calculator cannot know
- What you will really spend. A month with fewer purchases saves less.
- How Roblox rounds the discount on each item. Roblox does not say how it rounds a discount, so we round each month's saving down. Many small purchases can save a little less.
- The price of Plus in your country. Roblox sets it, and it can differ from the US price changed into your money, which is an estimate at the rate of .
- The prices of Plus bundles, which Roblox has not published.
- What other parts of Plus are worth to you, such as private servers.
