The current DevEx rate

DevEx is how Roblox pays creators real money for the Robux they earned. The current DevEx rate is $0.0038 for each earned Robux, in force since September 5, 2025.

Robux earned before September 5, 2025 keep the older rate of $0.0035. Robux that adult US players spend in eligible games earn the US 18+ rate of $0.0054, since June 8, 2026.

Earned Robux are the Robux you got from selling things. Robux you bought, got as a gift or got from a transfer cannot be cashed out at any rate.

The DevEx calculator works out a payout at all three Roblox DevEx rates at once.

The order Roblox pays them in

A cash-out takes the older Robux first, then the US 18+ Robux, then all other earned Robux. You cannot choose the order.

You need at least 30,000 earned Robux to cash out, and you must be 13 or older. You can ask once each calendar month.

Roblox checks a first request in about 10 working days and a later one in about 5.

So a creator with older Robux in their balance gets the lower rate first, whatever they earned last. The calculator follows the same order.

What a cash-out pays at each rate

At the standard rate, the minimum of 30,000 earned Robux pays $114.00. The same Robux pay $105.00 at the older rate and $162.00 at the US 18+ rate.

Bigger cash-outs grow the same way. A cash-out of 100,000 standard-rate Robux pays $380.00 before any fee or tax.

The payment company then keeps a fee. Through PayPal outside the United States it is $1.00 plus 2% of the payout, and never more than $21.00.

If you are paid in money other than US dollars, changing it costs more again: 1.9% to 3% of the payout, depending on the method.

Reading the DevEx rate history

Each row of the history is a day Roblox changed DevEx, with the rate that change set where it set one. The rate column shows the rate as Roblox writes it, in dollars for each Robux.

Roblox raised the rate for every earned Robux once, then raised it again only for Robux earned after the change. The Robux earned before it kept the older rate, which is why there are three rates today.

Tax kept back from DevEx payouts

From November 1, 2026 Roblox treats a DevEx payout as a royalty. The rates stay the same, but US tax can be kept back from what Roblox pays.

How much depends on where you live and on your tax form. The DevEx tax calculator estimates it.

The tax is worked out on what Roblox pays, before the payment company's fee. With a valid tax form, a creator outside the United States is taxed only on the share earned from US players.
