How a game's Robux are shared

When a group owns a game, the Robux it earns can be shared in two steps. First the game's own split pays the people who made it, each a percent of everything the game earns.

What is left goes to the group. The group's split then pays its members a percent of that part, and whatever nobody is paid stays in the group's funds.

This Roblox group funds calculator works out every part, and the parts always add up to what the game earned.

How to calculate a group payout

Your part = earnings × your percent; a member's part = what the group gets × the member's percent

earnings
The Robux the game earned, after Roblox's own share of each sale.
what the group gets
The earnings less every part the game's split paid out.
part
Every part is a whole number of Robux, rounded down. The Robux left over stay in the group's funds.

The example's shares: you and your partner from the game, then two members from what is left. The amounts are Robux the game earned after Roblox's share of each sale, 30% of a game pass. Worked out by the same code as the calculator. Roblox does not say how it rounds a share, so we round down. Rules checked on .

One example, step by step

Say the game earns 1,000 Robux. You take a share of 1,000 and get 300, and your partner's share of 1,000 is 200.

Of the 1,000 Robux, 500 go to the group. Its first member is paid 250 from the 1,000 Robux, and its second 125.

The group's funds keep 125 of the 1,000 Robux. Add every part up and you are back at the 1,000 Robux the game earned.

Why small amounts do not share evenly

Robux cannot be split into parts, so each share is a whole number. A share that comes out at a fraction is rounded down, and the rest stays with the group.

With a few Robux this shows clearly: the group can keep more than its percent says. With thousands of Robux the difference is only a few Robux.

Group funds and cashing out

Robux in the group's funds stay with the group until it pays them out. Each person's part is theirs to spend or, once they have earned enough, to cash out.

You need at least 30,000 earned Robux before Roblox pays you real money. The DevEx calculator shows what your part is worth.

Roblox group payouts are sent as Robux. This calculator shows the Roblox group payout splits, not a payout in dollars.

What the game itself gets from each sale is on the Roblox fees page. To send Robux to a player instead, read Robux transfer and donations.

Why the order of the splits matters

The game's split takes its percents of everything the game earns. The group's split takes its percents only of what is left, so the same percent pays less in the second step.

A member with half of the group's part therefore gets less than half of the game's earnings. Look at the parts in Robux, not only at the percents, before you agree on a split.

If you want someone paid from everything the game earns, put them in the game's split. If they should share only what the group keeps, put them in the group's split.

How to plan a Roblox group revenue split

  1. Type the earnings

Type the Robux the game earned, or tap one of the amounts under the field.

  2. Set the game's split

Under More options, type your share and your partner's share of everything the game earns.

  3. Set the group's split

Type each member's share of what the group gets. What nobody is paid stays in the group's funds.

  4. Check every part

See how it adds up lists every part. They always add up to the earnings.

What this calculator cannot know

  • Roblox does not say how it rounds a share. We round down, so nothing is paid out that is not there.
  • The calculator shares between two makers and two members. With more people, add their shares up into these four.
  • Roblox's own share of each sale is taken before the earnings reach the game. Type the Robux after that share.
  • Taxes and fees on the Robux are not shown here. Each person cashes out their own part.

Questions

What does a Roblox group payout calculator do?

It shares a game's Robux the way Roblox does. First the game's makers are paid, then the group's members, and the rest stays in the group's funds.

Do the parts always add up?

Yes. Every part is rounded down, and the Robux left over stay in the group's funds, so nothing is lost or made up.

Can the shares add up to more than the whole?

No. Each split can pay out at most everything it shares. The calculator asks you to lower the shares if they add up to more.

Who gets paid first?

The game's split comes first, from everything the game earned. The group's split only shares what is left after it.

Are Roblox group payouts in Robux or money?

In Robux. A member can cash Robux out later through DevEx, once they have enough earned Robux.

Why does the group keep more than its percent with small amounts?

Because every part is a whole number of Robux, rounded down. The Robux that cannot be split stay with the group.
