Your share, Roblox's and everyone else's for each kind of sale, and the prices each allows. On the Marketplace your share rises with the price and Roblox's falls. Roblox does not state your share of paid access sold for Robux, so we take it from its other sales for Robux. Checked on .

How much does Roblox take?

For game passes, developer products, private servers and subscriptions paid in Robux, Roblox keeps 30% and you get 70%. Players call this the Robux tax.

A game pass of 90 Robux pays you 63 and Roblox keeps 27. The Robux tax calculator works out any price.

To be left with a round number, price a little higher. To get 700 Robux from a game pass, set its price at 1,000.

When someone sends Robux to a player through a game, the game keeps 10%. A transfer is 10 to 500 Robux.

Private servers start at 10 Robux and subscriptions for Robux at 49. A game pass or a developer product can cost a single Robux, which pays you nothing.

Roblox Marketplace fees

An avatar item sold in a game pays its creator 30% and the game's owner 40%. Roblox keeps 30%.

On the Marketplace, Roblox's shop for avatar items, your share grows with how far above its price floor you price the item. The price floor is the lowest price Roblox lets you set.

At the floor itself your share is the smallest. An item of 150 Robux on a floor of 100 pays you 62.

Price it higher and your share grows: an item of 600 Robux on a floor of 100 pays you 420.

The examples below show it. Each price is one of Roblox's own examples, so no share in them is worked out between two of its points.

Roblox UGC fees and publishing fees

UGC means avatar items players make. To sell one you pay an upload fee of 80 Robux, or 500 for an item that glows.

Roblox publishing fees come next: an advance that depends on the kind of item. For hair it is 1,000 Robux, and Roblox pays it back from its share of your sales.

A Limited resale pays the reseller 50%, the item's creator 10% and the place it sold through 10%. Roblox keeps 30%.

Which calculator for which sale

For a game pass, a developer product or a private server, the Robux tax calculator gives your share of any price. For subscriptions and paid access, use the Roblox subscription calculator.

Selling avatar items? The UGC profit calculator adds the upload fee and the advance, and counts the sales you need before you make a profit.

When a group owns the game, the group payout calculator shares what Roblox leaves. The game revenue calculator follows the Robux from a sale to a cash-out.

Fees are not the only thing between a sale and money. Robux from each sale are held for a while, as Roblox hold times shows, and earned Robux explains which ones you can cash out.

What this page cannot know

  • How Roblox rounds. Roblox does not say how it rounds a share. We round down, like its examples, and the Marketplace share to the nearest even Robux, as its examples do.
  • Your price floor. Roblox shows it only in your Creator Dashboard.
  • Taxes and fees on sales in real money, which Roblox takes off first and does not publish.
  • Changes. Roblox changes its splits from time to time, and we date every table here.
